Happy to report we made it through the first seven

Happy to report we made it through the first seven years, without an itch!

We're celebrating our 7th anniversary this week, and by "celebrating" I mean "wiping butts" and "crossing our fingers for a full night's sleep"

Every year we mark the occasion by taking family pictures at the same place we got married, so today we're sharing a little trip down memory lane of the last seven years of our little(?) squad. Do you have a favorite?

Fun fact: I was pregnant or nursing during every single one of these pictures (yes, EVEN THE WEDDING pics, I was apparently 4 or 5 days pregnant at the time... found out on the honeymoon two weeks later 🤯)

Looking forward to doing this year's pictures in a couple weeks, although I'm NOT looking forward to figuring out what everyone is going to wear 🫠 It'll be the first time the twins get to do fall pics outside the womb though, so wish us luck getting decent pictures of five tiny kids outside at the same time

At least this time I'm not pregnant – hooray!!

Long weekends with 5 (young!) kids are very much looong weekends, yaknowwhatimean?

There was a time when Jim and I could tackle big projects over Labor Day Weekend, but this is absolutely not that time.

We kept the bar for productivity VERY low and got some of the kids' beds swapped around so that everyone is now sleeping in a bed that's big enough for them.

We'd love to get the bigger kids into bunks at some point, but we're in a "mattress on the floor" stage for the time being, and everyone involved seems to be just fine with that.

Or at least they were happy to be involved with zipping some fresh sheets on the bed (I linked our absolute fav zipper sheets in stories since they're 20% off this week, but DM us if you missed it and I'll pass it on)

Anyone ever use zipper sheets before? We're huge fans and I'm thinking of some for our own bed next 🤗

It's the Primary Bath's debut on the feed, but she

It's the Primary Bath's debut on the feed, but she's more form than function right now.

We're working on getting all the plumbing done to finally install this bathtub. It's literally just been sitting there, not hooked up, laughing at my unbathed misery with her cold, dry, empty heart.

Jim thinks we'll be able to finish the tub hookup within a week or two. With our track record, I'm hoping I can take a bath in here by year's end.

Our pace may be slow, but our helpers are super cute and at least know how to use a screwdriver now 🪛

Finally showing you that bench we got to replace a couple of chairs on the back deck. It's still a pretty messy spot, but if you check out our stories today you can see how far we've come.
